Sunday Stack helps churches train and certify their volunteer teams. This page explains what information it holds, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we use it to run your church's training, we never sell it, and there are no ads or trackers.
Who we are
Sunday Stack is built and run by Jaxon McDuffie (“we”, “us”). Churches use Sunday Stack to train their volunteers. Each church decides who it adds and looks after its own team's information. We store and protect that information on the church's behalf.
What we hold
- What your church adds about you: your name, email, phone number, photo, the teams and positions you serve on, and when you joined.
- Your training: lessons you've completed, knowledge-check results, hands-on and shadow sessions, evaluations and notes from your leaders and trainers, certifications, and when you're available for training.
- Auditions: if your training includes a virtual audition, the video or link you send and your note with it. Videos are kept privately: only you, your trainer, your team's leaders and your church's administrators can watch them, through links that expire.
- How you sign in: your email address. If you choose to sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, that company tells us your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your password for those accounts. Sunday Stack itself doesn't use passwords: we email you a one-time code instead.
- On your device: your sign-in and a few preferences (like dark mode) are kept in your browser's local storage so the app remembers you. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics.
How we use it
- To run your church's volunteer training: show your progress, schedule training, record evaluations and certifications, and give your leaders the reports they need.
- To sign you in, including emailing you sign-in codes.
- To keep Sunday Stack secure and working.
We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything unrelated to your church's training.
Who can see it
- You can see your own profile and training.
- Your church's leaders see the people on the teams they lead. Your church's administrators see everyone at the church. What each role can see is enforced by the database itself, not just the app's screens.
- Other churches using Sunday Stack can't see your information.
- We can access it only to run, support and protect the service.
Companies that help us run Sunday Stack
These services handle information for us under their own security and privacy terms. Data is stored in the United States.
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosts the app.
- Resend: sends sign-in emails.
- Google, Microsoft or Apple: only if you choose to sign in with one of them.
How long we keep it
For as long as your church uses Sunday Stack. If you step off a team, your church can mark you as having left. Your past training stays on record so the church's reports stay accurate, unless you or your church ask us to delete it. Deleting someone deletes their audition videos too. If a church stops using Sunday Stack, we delete its information when it asks us to.
Your choices
- See and correct your profile in the app, or ask your church's administrator.
- Get a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it: ask your church's administrator or email privacy@sundaystack.app. We'll reply within 30 days.
- Sign out any time, or sign out of every device at once in Settings. A device you haven't used for 30 days signs out on its own, and everyone signs in again every 90 days.
Keeping it safe
All connections are encrypted. Every table in the database checks who is asking before it returns anything. Sign-in codes expire, and a sign-in ends after 30 days without use (and after 90 days in any case). No system is perfectly secure, but if something ever goes wrong we'll tell affected churches promptly.
Children
Sunday Stack is for church volunteers and isn't meant for children under 13. Churches shouldn't add anyone under 13. If you think a child's information has been added, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll let churches know before it takes effect.
